The mention of affordable housing in the State of the State was huge. The Governor has indicated that we will see money for housing this year. The Housing Opportunities Fund is a four hundred million dollar housing proposal.

What will it mean for rural NY? By the description, it looks like the current proposal priority is to address special needs populations and working families in high cost markets, so we have our work cut out for us to get some affordable housing money that meets the needs of rural New York.
