The NYS Rural Advocates is the lobbying organization for the NYS Rural Housing Coalition.  Advocates have a 501(c)4 designation.  They are a non-profit that devotes itself to advocacy and lobbying for affordable housing. 

 

Rural Advocates is a separate organization from the NYS Rural Housing Coalition.  Rural Advocates has its own Board of Directors and its own membership.  Based on input from Rural Advocate members, the Board sets its annual State and Federal Legislative Agenda.
