Governor Patterson continues to recommend cuts to the preservation program and affordable housing.  We can’t let that happen.  The Governor has said that he will protect our state’s neediest citizens in this budget.  The case we need to make is that we do serve the neediest.  to_write_to_the_governor

We must communicate our issues effectively.  We must explain why a cut to the Preservation Program IS a cut to New York’s lowest income residents. What happens if RPCs and NPCs cut or eliminate services? It’s up to you to explain how it impacts your community and why the Preservation Company should survive the budget cuts but please focus on services such as emergency home repairs to low income elderly and on the mortgage foreclosure crisis.
